The Wind in the Violins

In the Shetland Islands, an archipelago of 100 isles north of Scotland, with 15 inhabited, the wind whispers tales amid green fields. The art of crafting violins seamlessly merges into daily life. Women, taking on increasingly pivotal roles in the farms, preserve connections across generations. The oceanic climate and the prized wool from sheep weave a bond among humans, animals, and land, with roots tracing back to Norway. Ponies, integral to nature, gracefully intertwine with centuries-old history and traditions. The seemingly immobile past actively persists, perpetuating the beauty.
