In September 2022, Mohammad Ismail, 24, lost a forearm and lower leg during an abduction and attack by militants in the Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh. Having already lost his older brother, cousin, and brother-in-law to violence, he recently relocated his immediate family to what he hopes is a safer shelter. Despite his efforts, he fears the militants will eventually find him. Six years after Myanmar's military’s genocidal campaign against the Rohingya Muslim minority, the camp in Bangladesh, where nearly a million Rohingya have sought refuge, has become a breeding ground for brutality.
