St. Leonards is a playground of freedom and invention characterised by a group of year-round swimmers, the Bluetits, who meet daily in a maritime playground that evokes a sense of freedom and euphoria. In this ongoing photo project beginning in June 2023, I've observed the Bluetits’ reactions that accompany the rush of adrenaline, the exhilaration as they swim against currents. However, at the core, they have established a unique, enriching form of recreation and personal fulfilment which I am intrigued to document.
