The Blue Umbrella

The heavy rain seems to cause cracks; and the sight of the umbrella can give rise to another metaphor: it subjectively makes one think of the human brain, with its cracks subdividing it into several zones.
Three colors dominate here: RGB (the restaurant's red sign, the pharmacy's green cross, and the blue umbrella). They refer to the paradigms of photographic art.

Born in 1958 in Byblos, Robert Bared has lived in Paris since 1975.
He attended university at the Sorbonne (literature, aesthetics, art history), then worked as editor.
Over the last fifteen years, he has devoted his time to photography (urban scenes) and writing. As for his first exhibits, dating from 2011, he owes them to Irma Toudjian (Italy).
Today, he collaborates with Chris Boïcos Fine arts in Paris, and with Myeong-Hee Kim (Beauté du Matin Calme) in Corea and Japan.
“I believe that hedonism, which is reflected in my love of colours, does not contradict favoring the meditative life.”
