This series of photographs has been created using the new generative fill feature in Adobe Photoshop Beta. It's important to note that only a small detail is AI generated in each photograph, such as a chair, dishes and/or a stuffed animal. The majority of the scene is an actual photograph. Marc Koegel feels that the objects created with generative fill increase the message of each photograph, placing emphasize on the history of each location and the fact that it has been abandoned for many years now.
Born in Germany, Marc first went to Canada in 1996 to earn an Economics degree. He has been seriously involved with photography ever since he was given his father's camera and darkroom setup at the age of 12. His black and white long exposure landscapes and architectural photographs have been widely exhibited and have won numerous international awards such as the IPA, PX3, Spider Awards and Epson Pano Awards. Marc also teaches workshops around the world.
