I want to grab the viewer's attention with a sense of wonder, then draw them closer with the stories that their mind projects onto the expressions, gaze, and apparent social structure of the birds. Each person has an immediate sense of what scene they believe is unfolding. As no story is pre-prescribed, this can prove to be quite revealing and often surprising. This image is built from multiple elements, photographed separately, and composed to create images that would not otherwise be possible to capture.
