De Terra ad Terram

We are living in a period of ecological and digital transition. Fossil fuels are being replaced by renewable energy sources. This transition, which is essential for tackling climate change, has a cost for the raw materials needed for technologies. Europe has extreme supply difficulties. One of the solutions is to start recycling. The chemist Torta Gianluca is studying and developing an industrial process for the recovery of Rare Earths from electric motors of electric mobility inside which there are permanent magnets made up of these critical elements.

Fiorella Baldisserri, is a freelance photographer based in Bologna. Since 2016, she has attended courses on photography and a one-year Masterclass in photojournalism in Rome.
