I Dreamed

"I Dreamed" is presented in 11"x11" shadow boxes, through which I explore feelings of being trapped alone, struggling to find joy. I built a small room, inhabited by a single chair and traces of simple pleasures. Through a window, we glimpse of a bigger world beyond the walls. Though the height of the pandemic has long passed, many of us still struggle break out of the solitary lifestyle it brought on. With these images, I tell stories of the private worlds we inhabit in isolation and in our minds. They speak to the strength we can find within and the longing for connection beyond ourselves.
