Hokkaido Snow Mushrooms

Hokkaido, Japan is one of the snowiest places on the planet and after days of continuous snowfall, so-called 'snow mushrooms' can accumulate as compacted snow forms snow pillows over rocks in streams. I was pleased to capture this group of "mushrooms" towards the end of the day as the setting sun provided some nice directional light.
