Albert is a sheep farmer from the Italian Alps. His story got suggested to me by a friend. On the day we met, he told me his story. He told me about how he first went to Switzerland as a young boy to work on mountain pastures as a shepherd. His family depended on him earning a livelihood. Back then, South Tyrol wasn't this magical tourism wonderland like it is today. The reality was hard. Especially for mountain farmers. Albert spent his summers on mountain pastures the following year in the northern Italian Alps and even met his wife Klara there. Together they started a family of five.
