Eating Disorders are torturous psychological conditions which have the highest fatality rate of any mental illness. Yet they are still misunderstood, stigmatised and improperly treated. Resources for E.D sufferers are rare and what is available is limited to those with private health insurance. The constant terror and darkness of the E.D experience is often dismissed and trivialised. We torture ourselves in lives of isolation, we push away everyone close to us because we think we don't need, or don't deserve, the help of others.
When we are actually given the tools to fight, we are warriors.
