The Brotherhood of Kyrgyz Firefighters

Recently, I've spent four months documenting the daily life of firefighters in Bishkek. Despite a $130-a-month salary, a tough job, and events like being battered during another Kyrgyz revolution, these firefighters are cheerful and enthusiastic about their work. They support each other, and the most valuable in their job is their colleagues — their brotherhood of firefighters.
