The Irish Wolfhound; a historical breed, that if not understood, and respected will lose its place in our culture. Bred to hunt large game, and cover long distances, and yet a breed that demonstrates calm, noble strength on a daily basis.

Guardian is a piece of artwork that was thought through at great length. I wanted to create something that didn't focus on the specific animals character, but represented an idea. A breed that is bred for a specific job, and so often is rehomed for demonstrating the very behaviours we once wanted to encourage. This piece is about reflection, about the pas
