No Papers Hunger Strike
Brussels, Belgium. More than 400 people without papers started to occupy 3 sites in february to demand for a regularisation of their undocumented status. When the occupation did not result in any response from the Belgium authorities, they started a hunger strike, some even a thurst strike. Some migrants are in Belgium more than 30 years. Asking for asylum in Belgium can take years to proceed. Many start working and building a network. When the admnistration tells them a negative response to their asylum request, most stay in Belgium, exploited. The authorities promised to look at their case.
