Every year at the beginning of May, the rice paddies are filled with water to begin the cultivation of rice.
When there is no wind, the water becomes like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding scenery.
On the night I took this photo, the air was clear and there was no wind, so the Milky Way was clearly reflected in the sky and in the rice fields.
I look forward to this nighttime scene every year, which I can enjoy for a short time before the rice planting begins.
Born in Japan, age 45.
I started taking photographs as a hobby 10 years ago.
I am happy to have people see my photos on SNS, so I mainly take photos of landscapes in Japan. This has led to a gradual increase in photography jobs.
I have been actively challenging overseas photo contests for several years now.
I would like to continue to freely take what I want to photograph.
My major contest awards are listed below.
