Amsterdam Central Station

The Amsterdam central station is the second busiest railway station of The Netherlands with almost 200.000 passengers per day. It was designed by Pierre Cuypers a Dutch architect and it was built by contractor Philipp Holzmann. The central stations was opened in 1889. Pierre Cuypers is also known for his designing the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. It replaced the Amsterdam Willemspoort Station (which was closed down in 1878)and the temporary Westerdok Station (which was in use from 1878 up until 1889).

My photography focusses mainly on (fine art) Architecture where I feel like I'm having a look through the eyes of the architect. I like to shoot the smallest abstract details to the complete buildings to tell the complete story in all it's shapes and forms.
