The World From Above

In the fine art photography project “The World From Above” Werner Roelandt wanted to change the normal horizontal perspective and look at the world "from above".

All photos from were taken straight down from public places open to everyone. All this without using a drone.

By combining dozens of images, a new photographic reality is created where time and space converge. At first the photos look very realistic, but when you look again, you get a surreal feeling.

From a distance you see a pattern but when you look closer there are incredible details to discover.
