As a serious amateur, Laurent Muschel has done exhibits over the last 10 years in Belgium, France but also in the US and in Asia. He was first discovered with his portfolio of black women in front of a black background. His second main portfolio is called Back to the Museum, looking for the perfect match between the back of the viewers and the paintings. This portfolio was published in 2013 (Editions Husson) and widely exhibited. His latest series was about hairdressers in Africa and ended up in a new book called Tropical hair salons (Lecturis Publisher, 2018).
