Growing up in the Welsh countryside, as a child, I was always amazed by the scale of big cities. This has never changed. As cities grow, buildings get taller and the pace of life gets faster, the modern cities of the world never stop growing. Like these cities, the sea of people who inhabit them are also in the endlessly endeavour to move forwards.
Matthew Wilkinson is an engineer who works across the UK. As he travels he spends his time photographing the Landscape. His Love for Photography started with 1 session a week whilst in college. After college Matthew when on to shoot 5x4 film for a few years then moved to 35mm full-frame in recent years. Matthew has developed a love for expression and strives to take steps away from reality with various processes & techniques and create more abstract images to provoke thought and emotion from the viewer. This approach to his art enables him to further express himself and tell deeper stories.
