The Shawoman

In 2018 and 2019, I visited the sacred Taiga Forest of Mongolia. Here in the Dukha community, I met Tsetsgee. She was the first Shawoman I'd met (and one of the few practicing shawomen. Though she is shy and quiet, she is also kind and compassionate. It wasn't until I fell ill on my second trip here, did I realize the full connection of her healing. The ceremony she performed was an incredible moment to be part of. Even more incredible, after the ceremony, I felt almost completely better. The pain in my body was gone. In moments like that, I can't deny the power of another person's healing.
