My aunt Rosita spent her whole life in her own world just “going from the bed to the living room”.
At a young age she fell in love with a young man to whom she planned to marry.
But the young man decided to leave her just before the wedding.
With treason came along the depression, and her mind traveled to another world without sadness and pain, a place where she stayed forever.
As I moved from childhood to adulthood, Rosita’s mind stayed in her childhood.
This is a homage to my aunt and the desire to bring awareness to a disorder that affects almost 10 million adults in the US.
