Bayelsa State and the wider Niger Delta region are among the most polluted places on the planet due to the actions of multinational oil companies who have been operating in the area for over 50 years.

The Campaign
Alongside the Commission, an international campaign is being launched to raise awareness of the way the multinational oil companies operate, on the basis that this would not happen in other oil producing countries like Scotland, Norway or Canada. The campaign will be launched on social media and will be accompanied by a film and photography of the impact of oil spills
