just like porcelain, children are fragile and yet made of a strong material. As long as you take good care of it, it always stays beautiful and in one piece. When this fails
they will have to pick up the pieces and look for the right place for that broken piece to make it whole again

the photographer used to be a costume maker, the headpieces are handmade and digitally put together with the original piece of porcelain.

Kaat Stieber is a fine art photographer who weaves the worlds of surrealism and noble Dutch art into her images. Mixing her broad set of creative skills with an internationally acclaimed background in theatre and costume design, her photos are assembled with vast craftmanship.
