This photograph was made from a helicopter flying over the sand dunes in the Namib Desert.
The shape of sand dunes varies from crescent to pyramid, honeycomb lattice and star.The color of the dunes such as ivory white, apricot, orange, maroon, and deep orange. The beautiful colors of the desert come from the various colorful minerals in rocks. The mineral elements form a “rainbow-colored desert”, changing as the light refracts at different times.
