The Violet Window

The republic of Sakha, in Siberia, has an area five times the size of France but with a population less than one million and produces around the 28 percent of all world's rough diamonds.
Diamond's “Monogorods” of Sakha, (Monogorod is a Russian word to cities dominated by a single company) were all founded in the second half of 20th century, and actually are dominated by Alrosa company. All this area, isolated in the centre of Siberia, suffers extreme cold with temperatures which can reach around to -50°c.

The Violet Window is an exploration in the particular life conditions of this area.
