Midnight Summer Sunset

Daylight during Iceland's summer lasts 20 hours. The sun rises at approximately 3:30 AM and sets around 11:30 PM. However, it never gets dark. The light becomes a little less bright as the sun sets slightly below the horizon line and remains there for several hours. These images were taken in the Snaefellness Peninsula in the West and 12 miles south of the arctic circle in Iceland's North Fjords at, or close to midnight.
