Cold Light

This is probably the most challenging photo I have ever taken. Freezing feet and fingers,
slippery wet rock, the need to constantly change the composition due to the tidal movement
and the unpredictability of the Aurora Borealis... In the end, it was worth all the
effort. The whole sky was immersed in surreal green light while the sparkling stars shined
down on snow-capped mountains, directly reaching into the Norwegian Sea - an absolutely
stunning experience!

Images are created as visions in the mind. Subject, composition, weather, light, camera, lenses, exposure settings, photographic or digital processing, papers & frames – all these factors influence the final product and they need to be creatively combined in order to realize that initial vision.

I seek to create compositions which are eye-catching at first and draw the viewer’s attention straight away. I strive to be in the right place at the right time to get the most suitable light conditions for each scene in the quest to accentuate the landscape’s true character.
