Seeing the joy in chaos and mess, escaping urban life, accepting life's challenges, a warm welcome, your favorite things, moments of generosity and consideration, life's little pleasures.
These photos are also a part of a long-term, personal project documenting my family. Available as fine art prints.

Shawna Gibbs is an American photographer who is known for documenting the lives of her family and friends including the well-received series, “Movie Night and “My Summer with Optimus Prime”. Her work has been published in Communication Arts Photography Annual, PDN Photo Annual, and American Photography. She has had her work exhibited nationally and internationally at more than fifty venues including the Institute for Contemporary Art/Boston, Boston Biennial, and L.A. Center of Photography.
