Everything changed after 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. One consequence was that the social atmosphere with its western standards of personal freedom, converted to a religious, stifling one. Today more than 70% of Iranians aged below 45. They have spent most of their lives in the post-revolution Iran. In my photos I tried to capture the spirit of this generation and their problems by focusing on their body language and facial expressions. I asked the models to think about a big moment in their lives! They were supposed to wear normal cloths and have no bold makeups. I gave them time to go deep in their thoughts while setting up my equipment. Then without distraction, I started to shoot. The models mostly went into a common level of sadness. The background colors in the photos were chosen to be in contrast to the mood of the models.
