The assignment was to photograph fine jewelry for a California
jewelry store that wanted to communicate a high-end luxury
brand image. The client's request was to make the photos
simple and elegant—and conceptually communicate that
precious gems and jewelry come from the natural world. I
achieved this by placing natural objects into the background
that would complement and highlight the jewelry through their
relationships in color and shape. It was a challenging and fun
assignment that pleased the client.
