In a world where the alienation becomes almost a way of life even the architecture
reflects this state of modern civilization. Everything becomes overwhelming and you will
always have the impression of being crushed. In fact, this is the same building viewed
from different angles. From every corner you can see the sun (the light...the exit), but
never completely ... there are always clouds and there is always the imposing, minimal and
cold building. From these perspectives the light seems unreachable and unattainable. The
windows of the building are narrow and black. It seems they do not give a chance to those
from inside to look out and maybe see the light. And so, although it seems to me that the
sun and the light are far away and unreachable, I feel lucky and privileged to be at least
outside.
Rebeka Legovic is a journalist and editor, but also photographer specialised in fashion, architecture and conceptual photography. Her photos are recognisable for unusual minimalistic compositions with which she accomplishes a special metaphysical atmosphere setting out of time. Is a rigorous world, attentive to forms, in which beauty and introspection dialogue with an environmental metaphysics in which the human figures are themselves organic components to the visual fabric. She blurs the borders between fashion, architectural and conceptual photography.
