Connected X - Heracleum sphondylium

I have become drawn to connectivity in nature and the interconnectedness of all things and
regularly use shapes and patterns in nature as metaphors to illustrate this.

Carol Sharp’s fine art practice has been informed by her career as of over 30 years, as a successful professional photographer specialising in flowers and plants.
Her images reveal what Goethe called the ‘gesture’ of plants, and she explores abstract concepts using nature as metaphor.
As more evidence reveals plants ability to connect with each other and with the wider world, she questions our relationship with plants and our perception of nature as a whole.
“In our anthropocentric time my aim is to reconnect people with plants and rekindle our emotional bond with nature."
