ROYALS

These images are part of a series of "royal portraits" commenting
on how we create our own image using social media channels.
Today, we have the power to elevate our social status instead of
relying solely on our family lineage. I find it interesting and
simultaneously problematic that everyone on social media sites
can use their platforms to create a brand out of their own image -
curating feeds to present a certain idea or a certain ideal that may
or may not acurately represent their truest self. I've taken the
concept of presenting your best self to a level so extreme, it's
obviously not based in reality. It is harder to feel inadequate, or to
feel "less than", when you know the content you're consuming is
exaggerated.

Braden is a New York based photographer. His travels feed his voracious hunger to produce innovative imagery. The surrealistic work is created, not captured, telling stories of culture, characters, fashion, and the drama relating them.
