2011 Vancouver STANLEY cup riots

The event originated in the June 15, 2011 STANLEY cup Vancouver
Canucks hockey game in the final seventh games (the last
tournament) lost to the Boston Bruins. The final day, about 100
thousand people rushed to the pedestrian area, during the game
because the ball card repeatedly on the Vancouver Canucks adverse
misjudgment and the Boston Bruins repeatedly fouls the referee but
turn a blind eye, resulting in Vancouver Canucks final defeat to the
Boston Bruins. After the game outside the fans very excited, thus
causing riots events. At least 140 people were injured, including 9
police officers, 101 people have been arrested in the evening,
followed by 16 more people were arrested. A total of 17 cars were
burned, many businesses are the bus line was diverted or
destroyed. Stop loss estimates riots of approximately $5 million.
