Syrian child labour

  • Photographer
    Cigdem Yuksel, Netherlands

Gaziantep counts 500.000 Syrian refugees who are trying to build a new life in Turkey.
Many Syrian children can not attend school because their parents do not earn enough to
survive. They are forced to work in factorys to support their family. Often under poor
working conditions, 12 hours a day, six days a week. I went to those children and
photographed them while they were working.
