Beauty Kills Life

This is real pink colour. I was traveling in Western Australia and
found this nice photography spot. I tried to remove the waves and
turned it into pink silk by using 10-stop ND filter. However, the
theme of this work is not the natural beauty, but the danger of
beauty. On the left side of the photo, I put a dead tree. This looks
very contradictory with the beautiful silky pink lake. People are
likely to be attracted by this beautiful colour and never know this
is made of a tremendous number of bacteria, killing living things.
This is because we used to see pink lakes from aerial photography
exhibitions. From a distance, we can't identify something. Only
when we get close to it, we can face the reality.
