Humphrey Gateri made a life decision one year ago - doing what he loves
instead of following someone else's "reasonable" path. He is on his best way to
become one of the best photographers in Nairobi, if you ask me. I was lucky to
have met him again in the beginning of this year and develop a beautiful
friendship. This portrait perfectly reflects his soul and everytime I look at it, I
still feel his passion and depth. The portrait was taken a few months back and
since then his skills have become better and better, consistently, but his humble
and compassionate personality still remains. I took the portrait of him in my
apartment in Nairobi. It was a sunny day. He brought the equipment and we
played around with lights and reflectors. And then I pressed the shutter
release.
