It was a very cold, snowy day in Colorado when I noticed this Red
Fox hunting in my neighbor's field. I went outside very quietly and
went around the back side of his barn. The fox was just sitting
there on a snowbank with the snow coming down all around him.
I set up my shot and just as I was ready to take the photo the fox
turned around and looked directly into my lens.

1 photo chosen by NANPA (North American Nature Photographer's Assoc.) as one of their top 100 photos of the year and another photo chosen as one of their top 250 photos of the year.
"Wildebeests Crossing the Mara" was a winner in the NAPP/National Geographic "The Great Outdoors Contest".
A camel photo taken in India won the Asia Transpacific Contest of the year.
2010 AWARDS
BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year for 2010, 21 photos were submitted....1 photo (Hippo Fight) made the Finals and 20 photos made the semi-finals!
1 photo ( Hippo Fight again!!) was chosen by NANPA (North American Nature Photographer's Assoc.) as one of their top 100 photos of the year.
1 photo (Flamingo Breakfast) was chosen by the Audubon Society as one of their top 100 photos of the year.
1 photo (Hands) won 3rd place for documentary at the Joseph Saxton Gallery in Ohio.
2011 AWARDS
For the BBC- 20 out of 20 photos submitted made the semi-finals.
I should have kept this up because I'll have to research what other awards I had...the only thing I can remember at this point is the BBC!
