Honored to be asked to shoot a world famous sculptor, Jun
Kaneko. He doesn't have his portrait done often if at all. I just
broke away from crew and talked to Jun and developed a genuine
rapport , which turned into a friendship. I've been told that I
captured an uncanny intimacy with him in this image.

America Photographer Scott Drickey (born 1970 in Omaha) has been establishing a relevant body of work since the early 1990s. Drickey started his career studying film in Santa Barbara and assisting notable photographers. For many years he worked as an
advertising and fashion photographer. His ability to pre-visualize while straddling both
sides of technologies has earned him high regard. His specialty is letting his subjects
motivate lighting while anticipating his next move. He’s currently exploring authenticity in his work.

Awards Awarded special projects including work in Sarah Thomas Karle and David Karle case study in their book, “Conserving The Dust Bowl”.
I've never been one to pursue awards but I feel the need to be validated for a storied career from assisting some of the world's most notable photographers to finally finding my perspective after twenty-five years.
