      Yingxi “Michael” Shi, an international award winning photographer, has an uncommon journey in photography. With an MBA and statistics master degree, he currently works with the global advertising group Omnicom in the New York headquarters. However the business world job does not satisfy his thirst for creating art. Entirely self-taught as a photographer since middle school, his passion has evolved into many works that demonstrate a clean, colorful, character-driven narrative. His new project, “Colors of Dance”, has received critical acclaim from within both the dance and photography world. He has won numerous international awards including IPA, PX3, FAPA, MIFA, and exhibited his work in US, China and Europe. , China

Inspired by the mentality, “survival of the fittest,” this work
portrays the darkness of the business world, the routine with
stress, competition, even cruelty and the desire of escape from the
“circus.”
