This series illustrates the idea of opposing the immutability to the living.

Petrified: On these portraits, the ubiquitous « material » shows the immutability. It represents the « materialism » within the society, it replaces a spirit which seems more and more absent.

Alive: On these portraits, the emotion can still be seen, it keeps people living, yet can break the rock. It is a hope; a timid enlightenment for the spirit within the shadow.
