,SHOWTIME 'is an all-access pass behind the scenes of the great haute couture and
prêt-à-porter fashion shows in Paris. I photographed the intriguing goings-on for over ten
years front and back stage and portray designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Wolfgang Joop,
Christian Lacroix, Stéphane Rolland, Albert Kriemler, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and many
others during the preparations for the next show. My documentation beginns some days
before the show in their atelier and ends when the celebrity head off in their limousines
to the next show. The book was published by OFFIZIN Verlag Zurich as a fine-art edition
late 2014.
To tell the story with just five photographs is very challenging. In order to have a more
focused and calmer submission, I chose five photographs from the same designer: Vivienne
Westwood, working together with her husband Andreas Kronthaler (although this shows just a
fraction of my work).
Franco P Tettamanti, born and raised in Switzerland, wanted to become a doctor his whole life. After graduating Medical School and receiving a doctorâ??s degree, he worked as an orthopedic surgery assistant for two years, before he had a change of heart. He decided to pursue his long held love for photography and moved to Paris, France, where he currently is making his name in the Parisian Haute Couture and Portrait Industry.
