I spend as much time as I can traveling throughout the interior of
the US. While working on a project in Glendive, Montana (US) I met
Michael Reddford at the Glendale Short Pines Off Highway Vehicle
Track. Michael works as a teacher in Washington State during the
school year and spends his summers in Glendive. In exchange for
a government vehicle, a gas card and a small stipend Michael
agrees to sleep in the parking lot of Short Pines to discourage
locals from using the area for target practice at night.

Portraits like these are part of an ongoing personal project
documenting American culture.
