With my portrait series Lions Noire, I’m sharing my artistic vision of lions
rather than documenting and showing “nature as it really is”. I see myself
as a creator more than an observer. I find lions to be truly magical and
mysterious creatures. To capture these qualities, I photograph mostly in
black and white and mostly during rainy days. I prefer this method
because i find it to produce stronger and more emotionally engaging
images.
