PLAYBOY

Playboy magazine hired me to portray Playboy bunnies in the
epic American west. From my history photographing the
Marlboro campaign, my approach was similar, to magnify the
strength, independence and attachment to the landscape in a
most confident and rugged manner. The girls from Playboy had
never experienced the vast, dramatic landscape I selected to
shoot in, Moab, Utah. This was unfamiliar territory and novel in
many ways to both of the girls. My job was to redefine the
women as strong, empowered and synchronized with the harsh
environment they were occupying. My vision was that these
images convey the strength, beauty and control these women
have over their world in a graceful manner.
