    Chak Lui CHAN, Hong Kong

This is an emulsion transfer on watercolor paper. During the
analog process, you just can't get a flawless image as you want,
even it is a picture of stunning scenery by window.

It is like life journey, short and unpredictable.

The work is my expression of Wabi-sabi and Zen, the oriental
aesthetics about beauty of imperfection.

Born and grew up in Hong Kong, Max Chan owns a multidisciplinary background and holds a Diploma in Advertising Design, a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema & Television, and a MA in Cultural Management.

Chan has extensive working experience in the creative and cultural industry. Started his career as TV assistant producer and creative writer, he is now working as arts manager of organizing and promoting cultural programmes. With years of board experience across different spheres, Chan was invited to be the Art Gallery Committee & Juror Member for SIGGRAPH Asia 2011 & 2013. It is Asia's largest annual event in computer arts and interactive techniques.

He is also an award-winning artist who received prizes in the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3), International Photography Awards (IPA), Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA), London International Creative Competition (LICC) and Arte Laguna Prize in Venice, just to name a few.
