More than 2 million people have fled Syria to surrounding countries since 2011. Amongst 130,000 death civilians, more than 11,000 children aged 17 years and younger had been recorded killed.

Istanbul has become a home of sorts for those war victims: women sitting with their backs against the walls and begging silently, grubby children - at the school age - playing in the squares with torn clothes.

Although their voice have been lost in the war, the call for mercy in their eyes is still there to express their fears, hopes, losts, dreams, nightmares!

Caglar Gezer was born in Istanbul. As a non-professional self -taught photographer, his humanistic approach to life is reflected in his black and white photographs, providing an unparalleled aesthetic viewpoint. The goal of his each project is to develop a body of image which allows him to transfer a visual knowledge of a specific human social event to the viewer.
