I was traveling with over 500 American students in the Semester at sea program. I had some bad impressions of Americans at first. However, after four months living, studying with them, I began to break some of my stereotypes. I took this photo on the last day on our ship when she was entering the harbor in Fort. Lauderdale. The girl on the photo just waved to her mom who stood on the cliffs waiting for her and then turned back to tell her friends that she saw her mom . At that moment, I felt as excited as those Americans who arrived at their homeland. I realized that there are so many feelings and spirits shared by all no matter which culture we belongs to, especially those positive!
