Eternal Ephemera

  • Photographer
Satoru Murata, a.k.a. Dr. RawheaD on the internet. Maya archaeologist with a passion for photography, currently living in Boston, USA., United States

This shot was taken when I went on a Michael Kenna homage tour along the western coast of Hokkaido, Japan, along with a fellow photographer. We both saw this scene from the car and yelled "We gotta take that!" We spent the next half hour shooting, and all the while, these Ororon Birds (on the endangered list) were very cooperative and pretty much stayed put. Taken with a Graflex Pacemaker Speed Graphic with the Kodak Aero Ektar 178mm f2.5 lens, and a Hoya ND400 + ND8 using Shanghai GP3 film, 3 minute exposure.
