The Cowboy Diaries

Digital images, water colors and scratched emulsion prints.

Constance Hobbs was born in New York and presently lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland and New York. She studied photography and painting at The New School/Parsons School of Design in New York City. In her current body of work a painterly approach is evident. Her extensive use of water colors and scratched emulsion prints combined with digital photographs creates an ambiguous quality in her work which is it's intent. She explores perceptions of truth and the demarcations that lie between photography and painting. She introduces the artists hand and imagination into the world of the literal photograph. Currently her work can be seen at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, F-Stop magazine and The Art Book. Her work is held in many prestigious private collections in The United States, Europe and Asia.
